True Or False

Is truth "truth" because of the one stating it, or is truth "truth" because it is true?

If we say truth is "truth" because it is true, then can we say that a book completely full of truth but published by a group with whom we may or may not agree should be shunned? I'm not necessarily condoning any publishing group or book - I'm just wondering how we should handle such a situation.

I believe truth is truth because of what it contains. Truth isn't relative it is absolute. In order for truth to be absolute it has to be a basis. The basis for absolute truth for us is God's Word and for us to believe thatthe Bible is Absolute Truth is because of our faith in God who wrote it...God who inspired it, preserved it and translated for us in our own language.

I think that I answered your question...just because WE say something is truth doesn't mean ANYTHING...it matters that it is biblically based with scripture and principles...this makes a book truth.

Our Bibles are published by some crazy groups. Obviously the truth is in the words, not the publishers.
