Mother's Day

This coming Sunday we will celebrate Mother's Day and honor the many godly women of our congregation. What a blessing it is to see God work through so many women and provide a stable foundation for the lives of children (of all ages!). And yes, all of us could share stories of how our mother provided, sacrificed, and loved us, but I would like to do something different this year. To you, who is the greatest mother of the Bible? (You do not have to answer Mary just because she is the mother of Jesus.) What mother of the Bible has given you hope, laughter, understanding, etc.? Happy Birthday!

My mother's birthday is today (and that's no April Fool!). It seems she has mixed emotions about these birthdays. While she is able to get cheap coffee (25 cents at McDonald's), she doesn't really like getting the cheaper price because of her age. Of course, my dad thinks it is great! Well, I guess I'll go play some April Fool jokes on her now.
