Mother's Day

This coming Sunday we will celebrate Mother's Day and honor the many godly women of our congregation. What a blessing it is to see God work through so many women and provide a stable foundation for the lives of children (of all ages!). And yes, all of us could share stories of how our mother provided, sacrificed, and loved us, but I would like to do something different this year. To you, who is the greatest mother of the Bible? (You do not have to answer Mary just because she is the mother of Jesus.) What mother of the Bible has given you hope, laughter, understanding, etc.? Leave a comment (and then share stories about your mother!).

I have such a love for Hannah, Samuels mother..she longed for and prayed for a child and told the Lord she would dedicate his life to the Lord in return...and she did...how hard to take your three year old to the priest and leave him for training...but she did..she put his life of service for the Lord before her own desire to raise him and just revel in joy of motherhood...an unselfish love...
My Mother loved me, and my brother and sister..that way...we always came first with her...we had a very hard life with an abusive father..but she instilled in us love and trust in the Lord...and we flourshied under her love...and God's..she is gone now..but I still miss her everyday...

Happy Mother's Day to all Mother's everywhere.
