Do-Over!

(Open to all - would especially like other preacher's comments) If there is one thing you could change in your life/ministry, what would it be? This change could be in the past or present, but please tell me what (if it's not too personal) and why.

I'd go back and not make my opinion known. I'd think before I spoke every time. I'd "fit in" among more preacher's groups better by simply not saying anything. I'd fit in better among the seminary crowd too by not voicing my opinions.

I'm not saying it's wrong to tell what you believe in, I'm just saying I would not have been so bold in doing so.

I believe I would have put more effort into Seminary. I have always done just enough toi get by when it came to schooling on any level.

My mom always told me that I didn't apply myself and this came true even with seminary.

I may actually get the chance to do it again, one year at least. I'm praying about getting my Masters Degree from LMBIS. I hope I will be a more mature and studious student this go round.

How old are you guys, and you're already wanting a do-over?

Just kidding...

Partly...

I think would change some of my relatives...

But not my nephews -- a deacon and a preacher -- I really like them!

But seriously, it is too easy to get caught up in "ministry" of/to the church and forget "ministry" of/to the family. If I had a "do-over", I would try to spend more quality and quantity time with my family -- wife, children, parents.
